*9* is a nine-minute work for bass Paetzold recorder and live electronics, shaped by the symbolic meaning of the number nine: light, completion, and awareness. Tempo, meter, and sonic relationships all emerge from this numerical concept. The fragile, breath-based sound of the recorder enters into a dialogue with an evolving electronic sound space. Through extended techniques, granular textures, sub-frequencies, and spectral transformations, the work explores perception, presence, and the boundary between acoustic breath and digital sound.
